لقد قضيت عمري كله في خدمة قضية هذه البلاد المقدسة، وكنت خلالها عرضة لمختلف وسائل الإغراء والترغيب حيناً، والتهديد والإرهاب أحياناً، وفي سبيل خيرها وصالح شعبها العربي تحملت مضطراً عناء السير في الدروب الشاقة الوعرة، كما تحملت شقاء الحياة في أشد الظروف خطراً ورهبة، وحملت وإخواني المجاهدين أمانة هذه القضية بكل ما انطوت عليه ضمائرنا من صدق وإخلاص وروح فداء، وليس من خلقي ولا في إمكاني أن أفرط في هذه الأمانة وأسلمها للذين يريدون أن يضيعوها ويبيعوها رخيصة للأعداء، ولا أن أنكر لتلك الصفوة المختارة من الشهداء الأبرار الذين جادوا بأرواحهم الطاهرة وأراقوا دماءهم الزكية على أرض فلسطين المقدسة، ولن أختم حياتي بخيانة هذه الأمة في قضيتها الوطنية رغم كل ما أتوقعه، وما لست أجهله من مؤامرات ومكائد يحيكها الأعداء والعملاء لي ولإخواني الصابرين المخلصين، والله خير الشاهدين، وهو حسبنا ونعم الوكيل.

Pledge and Covenant
I have spent my entire life serving the cause of this sacred land. Throughout that time I have been subjected to various means of temptation and inducement at some times, and threats and terrorization at others. For its good and the welfare of its Arab people, I have been compelled to endure the hardship of traveling difficult, rugged paths, as well as the misery of life in the most dangerous and terrifying circumstances. My fellow mujahidin and I have borne the trust of this cause with all the sincerity, devotion and spirit of self-sacrifice within our consciences. It is neither in my character nor within my power to betray this trust and hand it over to those who wish to squander it and sell it cheaply to the enemies, or to disown that chosen company of righteous martyrs who gave their pure souls and shed their untainted blood upon the sacred soil of Palestine. I will not end my life by betraying this nation in its national cause, despite all the conspiracies and schemes that I anticipate, and of which I am not unaware, that the enemies and their agents weave against me and my steadfast, devoted brothers. God is the best of witnesses; He suffices us, and what an excellent guardian He is.
