This policy describes the This Jewish Day app and its related website and support services, published by Levi Meir Clancy.
What the app collects
The app does not require an account and does not transmit personal information to us. Its current Apple privacy manifest declares no collected data types, no tracking, and no tracking domains.
Location
The app and website may ask for location permission to calculate local sunset and determine the appropriate Hebrew date. The app does not transmit your location to us. The website requests permission only after you choose Your location; its calculation runs in your browser, saves the selected coordinate only in that browser, and does not send the coordinate to us or a location service. You can decline, choose הכותל HaʾKotel, clear the saved choice, or revoke location access at any time; הכותל HaʾKotel remains available as the labeled default.
On-device information
The app stores preferences and state, such as appearance and calendar-display choices, on your device. The website saves your appearance choice in a cookie for one year. It may also store your location choice in browser storage. You can change your appearance choice in the footer, choose הכותל HaʾKotel to clear a saved location, or clear this site's browser data.
Advertising, tracking, and sharing
The app does not include advertising or cross-app tracking. We do not sell personal information. Limited service providers may process information only when necessary to operate the website or email support, and they are expected to protect it consistently with this policy.
Website and support
When you visit this website, the server or hosting provider may temporarily process standard request information such as an IP address, request time, requested page, and browser details for delivery, reliability, and security. If you email support, we receive your address and whatever you include in the message. Please do not send sensitive personal information.
Retention and deletion
On-device information remains until you change it or delete the app and its data. Routine server records are retained only as needed for operations and security and are normally rotated within 30 days. Support correspondence is kept only as long as reasonably needed to respond and maintain support records. You may request deletion of support records by emailing hello@thisjewish.day.
Children's privacy
The app does not offer accounts, advertising, or a way to submit content. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app.
Changes and contact
