AM 5439–5440: Yemen's Zaydi ruler al-Mahdi Ahmad expelled יהודים YEHUDIM to Mawzaʿ. A theological defense associated with the expulsion invoked sayings attributed to Mohamed to deny them a permanent home in Yemen. Jew-hatred made centuries of residence revocable.29
