السيد رئيس الهيئة العربية العليا لفلسطين

تحية طيبة وبعد لقد وافاني كتابك الكريم الذى تنوهون الى فيه تأييد الشعب العربى الفلسطينى للخطوة التى خطتها قيادة الجيش المصرى بتدريب الشباب الفلسطينى القادر على حمل السلاح تدريبا عسكريا تأهيلا له للقيام بواجبه فى تحرير بلاده العربية. وترغب الهيئة فى أن يتسع هذا التدريب حتى يشمل جميع الشباب الفلسطينى وأن تطبق الحكومة المصرية على الفلسطينيين أنظمة التجنيد استجابة لرغبات الهيئات الفلسطينية المختلفة. وإنى سأضع هذه الرغبة موضع الدراسة والنظر وفق الله الامة العربية الى مافيه مجدها ورفعتها

In the name of God, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful Prime Minister

Mr. President of the Arab Higher Committee for Palestine,

Greetings, and thereafter:

I have received your esteemed letter in which you mention to me the support of the Arab Palestinian people for the step taken by the leadership of the Egyptian army: giving military training to Palestinian youth capable of bearing arms, preparing them to fulfill their duty in liberating their Arab country.

The Committee wishes this training to be expanded so that it includes all Palestinian youth, and that the Egyptian government apply the recruitment regulations to the Palestinians, in response to the wishes of the various Palestinian bodies.

I shall place this wish under study and consideration.

May God guide the Arab nation toward what contains its glory and elevation.

God is greatest, and glory belongs to the Arabs.

Analysis

Page 540 contains a reproduced Arabic reply from an Egyptian prime minister to the president of the Arab Higher Committee for Palestine, dated 11 June 1956, followed by an unresolved handwritten signature and the printed office title. The translation preserves the letter's support for training Palestinian youth and applying Egyptian recruitment regulations, as source-owned claims and policy language. The signature remains [unclear] and is not identified by inference. Page 539 precedes it and page 541 continues the appendix.
