The war the Jews waged against Islam was longer and broader in scope than the war waged against it by polytheists and pagans, despite its ferocity, in ancient and modern times. The battle with the Arab polytheists lasted no more than twenty years in total. The same was true of the battle with Persia in the first era. In the modern era, the ferocity of the battle between Indian paganism and Islam is evident, but it does not reach the ferocity of world Zionism, “which regards Marxism as merely one of its branches.”

The story of the Children of Israel, which the Qur’an sets out in the fullest detail, contains wisdom with many aspects.

One aspect of this wisdom is that the Children of Israel were the first to confront the Islamic call with hostility, schemes, and war in Medina and throughout the Arabian Peninsula. They were at war with the Muslim community from the first day. They were the ones who embraced hypocrisy and the hypocrites in Medina and supplied them with means of scheming against the creed and all Muslims. They were the ones who incited the polytheists, made appointments with them, and conspired with them against the Muslim community. They were the ones who undertook the war of rumors, infiltration, and scheming within the Muslim ranks, just as they undertook to spread suspicions, doubts, and distortions concerning
