July 10 was the first full civil day of Operation Dani. Units advanced against positions surrounding לוד LOD and רמלה RAMLA, seeking to isolate the towns and improve central communications. The July 12 JTA report dates the airport’s liberation to the previous day; an airport gain cannot therefore be confidently assigned to July 10 merely from the operation’s opening.¹

The village-specific Daniyal chronology remains provisional. A later village account gives July 10, while the inspected scholarship distinguishes July 10 instructions from July 11 reports of entry. The original brigade record is needed to reconcile them; neither date is replaced by the report’s issue date.^{2 3}

The League announced a provisional civil administration for Arab-held areas of ארץ ישראל EREẒ YISRAʾEL. It proposed services and offices while withholding higher political powers. An administrative decision does not prove that offices functioned throughout the territory, just as military plans do not establish every achieved objective. The daily record preserves attempts to organize authority alongside the army movements and the civilian populations affected by them.
