What accompanied renewed fighting in לוד LOD?

The appearance of Arab Legion armored vehicles contributed to renewed firing. Israeli troops killed Arab civilians as well as armed opponents; scholarship and a later resident account support a mass killing while disagreeing over totals and mosque circumstances.
