The diary records acceptance of disbandment by לח״י LEḤI in ירושלים YERUŜALAYIM. It does not prove completed disarmament. JTA’s protest about the kidnapping of a consular employee concerned the preceding weekend, not a new abduction on August 25. ^{1 2}

JTA reported four יהודים YEHUDIM wounded by renewed shelling in northeastern ירושלים YERUŜALAYIM and postponement of a commanders’ meeting. Four wounded is not four killed. The diary’s figures for Operation בצר BEẒER are cumulative administrative results rather than new arrests that day. One passage gives nine hundred and eighty arrested, four hundred and fifty disqualified and five hundred and thirty-eight pending: the components sum to nine hundred and eighty-eight.
