A convoy bound for Gush Etzion was ambushed, killing ten people according to its memorial source. A separate reported raid at al-Tira occurred late in the civil day; the original incident records still need checking.
What happened to the Gush Etzion convoy?
A convoy traveling from ירושלים YERUŜALAYIM toward location://GusEzyon was ambushed on 11 December 1947. The Palmach Association dates the attack to that day and records ten members of יהודים YEHUDIM killed. Gush Etzion's four settlements depended on roads vulnerable to attack for people, food and arms. This was an attack on a supply route serving civilian communities as well as armed defenders.1
Yosef Klir's Hebrew chronicle, published in 1952, labels the relevant entry 12 December but dates the convoy losses to the preceding afternoon. Its visible Hebrew text says:
בכביש ירושלים־חברון בדרך לגוש עציון נהרגו 10 יהודים ו־4 נפצעו2

What is reported about al-Tira?
A later online reproduction attributes to War Office records an attack by armed members of יהודים YEHUDIM on al-Tira near Haifa at about 22:45 on 11 December 1947. It describes damage to homes and reports twelve Arab deaths and six injuries. The original War Office files were not inspected, so the numbers and precise identification of the attackers remain unverified; the report is evidence of an attributed official account, not an audited casualty list.3
The focused source discussion is retained in An attributed War Office report described a nighttime attack on al-Tira.. Its event date and this daily article’s civil-day route are not automatically the same.
How is this dated?
This is Day 12 of the 599-day civil-date series: 1947-12-11. Its OTD route, 5708-09-28, is the daytime fixed-Hebrew conversion of that civil date, not a claim that every action mentioned here occurred before sunset.4 The adjacent Hebrew date after local sunset is 29 Kislev 5708 (5708-09-29). The convoy is dated to 11 December by the Palmach Association and Klir's following-day retrospective entry. The al-Tira report gives about 22:45 on civil 11 December; if correct, that is after sunset and belongs to 29 Kislev. Its source is a later reproduction of a War Office entry, not the original file. Newspaper issue dates, dispatch dates and later testimony are kept distinct from occurrence dates.
