Accounts of a bombing near location://DamascusGate and attacks around יפו YAFO and al-Yahudiya show armed operations against Arab civilians and places. Reported casualty figures in reproduced War Office material remain claims until the original files and individual records are checked.

What was reported near location://DamascusGate?

A later reproduction of War Office incident entries describes bombs and gunfire from a vehicle carrying members of יהודים YEHUDIM toward an Arab crowd near Damascus Gate in ירושלים YERUŜALAYIM. It gives a time around 12:20 on 13 December and reports four Arabs and one Jew killed. It also suggests that a crowd killed the Jewish man after the attack. The sequence and individual death records remain unverified because the original War Office entry has not been checked.1

The record should neither conceal an attack on civilians nor collapse the five reported deaths into one perpetrator's casualty count. The reproduced entry does not authenticate a particular הארגון HAʾIRGUN unit or establish the status of each person in the crowd. JTA coverage published on 14 December describes raids by הארגון HAʾIRGUN across more than one place and day; its broad headline cannot supply this missing unit identification.2

What was reported at a café in יפו YAFO?

An online reproduction attributes to a War Office entry an armed attack on a café on King George Avenue in יפו YAFO on 13 December 1947. The entry describes five armed members of יהודים YEHUDIM arriving in a stolen vehicle and reports six Arab deaths. The original file, police investigation, café register and victim records have not been inspected; the death figure is the reproduced report's count, not an established person-level total.3

What happened at al-Yahudiya?

Reproduced War Office entries describe armed members of יהודים YEHUDIM firing on and using explosives in al-Yahudiya near Petah Tikva on 13 December 1947. One entry reports six Arab deaths and thirteen wounded, while another supplies a different breakdown. These are conflicting versions of one local incident, not independent casualty groups that may be added together.4

How is this dated?

This is Day 14 of the 599-day civil-date series: 1947-12-13. Its OTD route, 5708-09-30, is the daytime fixed-Hebrew conversion of that civil date, not a claim that every action mentioned here occurred before sunset.5 The adjacent Hebrew date after local sunset is 1 Tevet 5708 (5708-10-01). The reproduced Damascus Gate entry gives approximately 12:20 on 13 December, placing that reported action in the daytime of 30 Kislev if authentic. The café and al-Yahudiya records are less secure in hour and casualty detail; this civil-day account does not transfer those claims into a verified single Hebrew-day tally. Newspaper issue dates, dispatch dates and later testimony are kept distinct from occurrence dates.
