What did the commission approve?
At 18:30 the commission approved amended memoranda and discussed a technical mission. The seven-point proposal would be delivered April 11; approval on April 9 and delivery were distinct. Technical competence, composition, information gathering and compensation work remained under discussion, rather than a fully staffed mission already carrying out its program.1
How was the progress report dated?
Part II of A/838 is dated April 9 and summarizes the April 7 meeting with דוד בן-גוריון DAVID BEN-GURION. Part I is dated April 5; circulation occurred April 19. The three dates belong to preparation of different portions and transmission, not three new prime-ministerial meetings. The report preserves the government’s peace-linked position while leaving open limited refugee admission.2
What did the council say at יריחו YERIḪO?
The Supreme Muslim Council met the Jerusalem committee in יריחו YERIḪO. Its spokesman defended Arab authority and questioned international guarantees. The record also contains a conspiracy accusation that the UN was a tool of יהודים YEHUDIM, a claim about collective power which the source supplies, not a fact TJD adopts. The committee’s closing summary says acceptance of internationalization depended on implementation of the whole resolution. That conditional position is more precise than claiming every Arab leader rejected every international arrangement.3
The source’s webpage title says eighteenth meeting while the document heading says nineteenth. The dated heading controls the event; the catalog defect remains a source limitation.
What did the recognition report add?
The April 10 JTA dispatch reports recognition announced by the United Mexican States the previous night and an instruction to support UN admission. Neither the exact legal instrument nor a local announcement clock is held. The reported nighttime announcement may belong to the next Ivrit day; it remains part of this civil-day account with that distinction visible.4
How is this dated?
This daily Event covers the civil-day slot April 9, 1949; the established register’s fixed-calendar daytime conversion is י׳ בניסן ה׳תש״ט 10th 𝑜𝑓 Nisan, AM 5709. That route identifies the recap, not the Hebrew occurrence date of every incident. SR.42 dates approval April 9 at 18:30; without settling the local sunset convention, that meeting is not automatically assigned the recap’s daytime Hebrew date. A/838 Part II is April 9 but circulates April 19. The recognition report’s previous night implies nighttime April 9 and working 11 Nisan for its own article. An after-sunset act within this civil slot belongs to י״א בניסן ה׳תש״ט 11th 𝑜𝑓 Nisan, AM 5709; it is explained beside the relevant source instead of changing the whole recap. 56
