The Jews’ campaign to cast doubt within the Muslim community continues:

“A group of the People of the Book said, ‘Believe at the beginning of the day in what was sent down to those who believe, and disbelieve at its end, so that they might turn back. And trust only those who follow your religion.’”

It is a cunning and base method. Their display of Islam and then withdrawal from it causes confusion and disturbance in some souls and minds among those who are not firmly grounded in the truth and nature of their religion. If they saw Jews believe and then renounce belief, they would suppose that they had renounced it only because they had discovered some hidden fault or defect in this religion. They would waver between two directions and have no firm state.

This deception continues to be used today, in the many forms suited to the changing circumstances and people of every generation.

The enemies of the Muslims have despaired of making this deception work today, so the powers hostile to Islam in the world have resorted to many methods, all based on that old deception.

Today these powers have in the Islamic world a vast army of agents in the form of professors, philosophers, doctors, and researchers, and sometimes writers, poets, artists, and journalists. They bear Muslim names because they descend from Muslim ancestry. Some of them are Muslim “religious scholars.”
