This article separates a question from A. S. Juda, an answer attributed to the editors of al-Muqtaṭaf, and Riḍā’s own commentary. That distinction matters because the pages preserve several voices and Riḍā’s response, not independent proof of the claims repeated in them.
Provenance
This edition presents Riḍā’s article in al-Manār, volume 1, number 6, dated 1898-04-09, printed pages 105–108.1 Emanuel Beška gives the same title, date, issue and pages.2 The bounded pages do not establish the place of printing.
The controlling witness is the bounded facsimile of the cited al-Manār issue.

Methods and limits
The fourth image includes the start of a separately titled article after Riḍā’s closing quotation. That text is excluded from this transcription and translation. The Arabic page files were collated against the bounded facsimile. The English page files carry the existing TJD translation, aligned to printed page breaks. Three sentences cross page breaks; their English has been divided at the same points and logged in the boundary audit. Independent bilingual review remains pending. The page interpretation files separate each speaker’s claims from what this source establishes. The facsimile and older edition-root text files remain source-only.
Rights and permissions
The recorded rights decision clears this bounded Arabic text and TJD translation. The evidence edition remains working while page review is pending. The dated evidence article is a separate public article; this page edition has not been promoted.
Source claims and limits
Riḍā introduces a question by A. S. Juda of Frankfurt. The answer is attributed to the editors of al-Muqtaṭaf. Riḍā then marks a change of voice and offers three lessons of his own. The editors’ claims about Jewish work, land buying and migration are source claims, not independent findings. Riḍā’s remarks about Ottoman policy and future events also require evidence beyond this article.
