Riḍā’s summary of Sūrat al-Māʾida moves from theological, legal, and social teaching to a sustained discussion of the People of the Book and יהודים YEHUDIM. The article lets readers examine his interpretation in context rather than treating a later excerpt as the whole argument.
Provenance
Muḥammad Rashīd Riḍā published this independently titled summary in al-Manār, volume 18, number 10, on printed pages 737–744. The article reviews the theological, legal and social teachings that Riḍā drew from Sūrat al-Māʾida. Its second division turns to the People of the Book and includes a sustained passage about יהודים YEHUDIM.1
The controlling witness is the complete facsimile of the cited al-Manār article.

The public edition presents the complete collated Arabic text of printed pages 737–744 as eight page records. Running heads and printed page numbers are omitted. The separate article that begins lower on the shared final scan is excluded.

The 1915 underlying text is public domain. The editor confirmed permission to reproduce every retained source page, and the Arabic transcription is collated against the complete article. The runtime package contains no source PDF or page image. An English translation has not been approved for publication.
Source claims about יהודים YEHUDIM
On printed page 742, Riḍā assembles a severe list of traits and acts that he attributes to Jews, including hard-heartedness, treachery, deceit, illicit gain, corruption and the kindling of war. These are Riḍā's collective polemical claims. The article does not independently prove them.
The same passage says that these traits were not universal among Jews and did not include every Jewish person. Riḍā also recalls Jewish aid to Muslims in Syria and al-Andalus. Printed page 743 then says that the sūrah commands justice and equitable judgment toward the People of the Book and permits shared food, marriage, testimony, pardon and forgiveness. The hostile list, its express limit and this treatment rule belong to one argument and should remain together when the source is quoted or interpreted.
This page edition presents the bounded article. It does not classify all of Tafsīr al-Manār, volume 18 of al-Manār or the journal as a whole from this passage alone.
Dating
The issue-opening page prints 30 Dhu al-Ḥijja 1333 and 8 November 1915. The article's closing postscript, however, says that Riḍā completed the sūrah commentary in early Rabīʿ al-Ākhir 1334, after the nominal issue date. The physical release date is therefore unresolved. This edition preserves the printed issue date and the later internal completion date without treating either as a verified release date.2
